I think they are way cool…old school cool…most of them are my age and older, however.

Stay away has been my instinct. Don’t care for Dayton or budd/stud pilot rims although I know conversion is possible.

I’ve talked myself out of a floor trailer or a ground load as they are way too spendy for what they can haul…IMHO


I know they are spendy but one of my best investments was a 53 foot ground load. Squeeze 30 to 33 cows on it, 40 some 7 weights, 50+ 5 weights, but not all at the same time!!! lol

The best part is how easy the cattle load on to it. We can back up to a small round pen, open the trailer door and the cows practically load themselves, no crowd gate. If I didn't see it for myself I wouldn't believe it. Simply amazing and FUN to load!

With 6 foot back compartment overhang past the tires, it's like pulling a 47' hopper bottom. So getting around isn't that much more different than a grain trailer.
