BTW Bloomington livestock has a red-hided calf and yearling sale this Friday. Might be of interest. It should show what a fair auction price is. I had to sell some very nice bred young cows and heifers a couple years ago due to a health issue (mine). I made a poor choice in where to sell them (not Bloomington) and got skunked on price. As with all bad decisions, that was a learning experience, not to be repeated.
