SE Iowa | I’ve never tried it myself, but grandpa used to fill silo and couldn’t hold enough feed in it, so one year he tried a pile on the ground and blew the pile into the silo later after it was empty enough, he never tried it again. Said the feed from the ground pile was never the same after you opened it up. I think if you had moved in it the dead of winter you might have better luck, but as it gets hotter as summer goes on probably lose more and more feed value. | |
