West Central Illinois | I asked about this to my county FSA office and they said they hardly know anything about it and acted like they didn't want to give me any information on it, no ranges of payment rates, etc. Sometimes I wonder if there aren't more opportunities for programs out there to help with my mgt intensive grazing but being in a mainly rowcrop dominated county maybe our FSA office just doesn't know like an FSA office might in a livestock dominated county like central MO etc.
From what I read there's a certain percentage of the acres you have to set aside and stockpile the forage until Aug. 1 (I think 25%?). Would have to pay pretty well for me to mess with having to skip grazing rotations on those acres essentially for 3 1/2 months.
