You are correct....but, almost all the bales I put in the mixer aren't precut. I know, that makes no sense and you ask why? Well because I forget to put the knifes in when I bale mostly, and I kinda hate the mess they make when you stand them up to take the net off. I know that's illogical. But you're thinking right, the cut bales fall apart quick. That said, my mixer is quick like I explained above.
