I don't know the particulars.......but I think it'd be ridiculous to expect any cabinet official to divest themselves of their belongings in order to hold a position. Who in the heck would ever sign up?
Nobody knows the particulars expect for his one sentence statement that he divested during his interview Sunday morning. What form of divestment? Did he sell to partners? Did he transfer to his husband? Did he sell to non related parties?
Divesting was part of taking the job. He has a choice divest or not take the job. The idea is remove conflict of interests and to serve your country.
I don’t think we know those details. If “High Plains Acres” is his ownership entity as it’s been reported it’s easy using plot apps to see where parcels are and then look in those counties for sales.
