NEMO | Stick to facts youngin...even you said "adding value to a cheap product(that would be Missouri over mature fescue hay(cheaper yet if it's 2 year old hay)) by mixing it with other cheap products (Macon yellow feed, Decatur gluten, that syrup that Olive uses). I haven't seen a hay ring yet that didn't waste at least some hay, another argument for another day, and you go ahead and unroll on Tuesday when the ground gets good and muddy. Some Decembers never freeze up and you know it. Unrolling may work in the frozen Northern tundra, but not where it's muddy. Mixer wastes none, other than where I mess up. Last time I checked, they're not exactly giving away feed pickups with bale beds. You keep doing it your way, I'll do it mine, we'll both be happy. I wish I had lots of grass like old Ben, I don't, but may by next year...and even that needs supplemented at times | |
