Like others said a TMR needs ingredients that will mix well and silage needs to be the base. You say your feeding in hay rings. I have J&L haysavers and have almost zero waste. The only time there is ever waste is if the crop was very short as in less than a foot tall. I feed a lot of wheatledge and some first cutting hay. It's all 2 feet tall or more and there is no waste.
