When there are 3 farmers left to supply food doubt they will be paying county and school taxes and with all that efficiency food will be reasonable**

Agree with the idea of large lobbying groups not paying local taxes. Look at the movements to exempt elderly from paying property taxes in Texas and Florida already. One special interest group will lead the way for others.

Elderly no longer have kids in schools they shouldn’t pay.

Bad precedent is being set.

Corporations never had kids in schools why should they pay property taxes.

It would be nice if the parents of the kids had a little more skin in the local schools. Charge the actual users of the school a bit more. As it is, a big portion of the voters have no real reason not to vote for the big new gym or turf for the bond for the football field or the new administrative offices. If voting yes increased tuition, maybe more voters would question the need? Grandparents and local businesses would gladly set up scholarships for those in need. School spending has gotten out of hand in many cases because those not paying for it will vote yes for anything.

Although it would never fly...I love the idea of one dollar one vote as far as taxes go. If you don't pay in, you don't have any say how it’s being spent!

Edit for clarity
