MO tried to pass a law that if a business had child care on premises, they wouldn't pay property taxes. It was never clear if that was just for the part providing child care or for the entire business. I think that was on purpose. It sounds like a good thing, but it would have absolutely devastated local budgets. They're wanting to get it to where the employee's are subsidizing the employers.
