SE IL | Your last sentence is very accurate. We aren’t there yet but the setup is similar. The 80s will NEVER return for the guys that were starting out then. 40 years of wealth building along with inheritance for many means that at 60,70+ years old they are in a completely different financial position than someone who is 30 trying to get started. The 80s was a cake walk compared to the depression, each succeeding generation seems to have it easier than previous generations. I mean I never had to walk 3 miles to school up hill both ways. | |
