Would it surprise you to know that that I was a straight ticket?Republican voter until 2016?
At that point two things became apparent. The GOP in my state was dedicated to running the state into the ground. And the gop, in general, was dedicated to shifting as much wealth from the bottom to the top as they possibly could. It's about not supporting this system where the CEO class offshore jobs and then blamed the working class for the problems with the economy. It's about realizing we had a system that told kids, oh no, you have to go to college, and now it's, oh no, you have to get trade.Jobs, and next will be, oh no, you need to do something else. It's a system that's designed to keep as many people as possible permanently indebted as possible. Need a house? You'll have to bid against provate equity. it's a system where you told you should work forty or fifty years for a company.And then be happy with a five year retirement at the end. It's realizing that a system that I thought I knew that is really only working for a select few.
