If you believe soybean price would be higher had there been no tariffs

First, what do you think the price of beans would be right now without tariffs?

If price was higher this spring due to no tariffs, how many more acres of beans would have been planted, and how would that extra supply have affected price?

If price was higher, how much demand destruction would those price levels have created?

How many less beans would China or other countries have purchased from us because of the higher price?

How much higher does the price of beans need to be for you to make an acceptable income? Is that price levels higher or lower than your answer to the first question?

Thanks

COVID in China was a seismic shock to their system. After Chinas last census showed they had “overcounted” their population by 200-300 MILLION people - that’s a big “consumption/demand” WHOOPS to their planned govt economy. their big and growing consumption projections are now in the rear view…..
