If these USDA reports are skewed to direct the market down one has to ask why and who benefits? If raw commodities are a minuscule fraction of an end products total price are they really protecting the consumer? For instance farmers on average receive 14.3 cents on the dollar for food products. In other words if government control isn’t consumer driven what is the impetus?



Our government uses grain like cash to poor countries. They give humanitarian aid in exchange for favorable diplomatic controls. Keeping grain cheaper is needed to make their dollar go farther. Also keeping the people of the US fat also keeps them happy easier. Just my OP
