Southern Missouri | I hate to sound like a broken record, I hate it because if the price was higher I wouldn’t sound that way , but even the president tweeted about the packers and any collusion against the beef producers being investigated and I fully support that , BUT , cotton really is 62 cents, it really did average 66.8 in the eighties , the people paying the producers that price are really selling it in the stores for way way higher prices than they did in the eighties but you think there’s any publicity about that ? Think the president has put out a tweet on the producers getting the short end of the stick ? Google who controls the textile industry worldwide, same people that controlled it before World War Two , you won’t see any tweets on those folks making a killing off 62 cent cotton and you won’t see any of this production being pushed off in the ocean , it will every pound get bought by the traditional cotton buyers and sold to someone needing it , I’m a cotton farmer always have been and I’m just as dumb as the rest of them , we have no marketing power , zero | |
