Southern Missouri | What would it really be like if we had higher loan rates on needed crops and regulated to what we need plus a reserve and didn’t worry about China and Brazil, ( or anyone else unless they pony up I’ve been around a while and even lived in the years when we had production controls and understand the logistics, but we also live in a time when the value of Meta went up more in one day than the value of the entire U S corn , the part we use and the part we sell , evidently we have so much excess in food and fiber period that some won’t be used for a while , why burn up the fuel , phosphate, potash etc just to let it set , not pushing this agenda at all just curious what others think as my farm sets with a pile of totally unneeded cotton that closed at 62 cents today , and once again from January 1980 to December 1986 it averaged 66.8 cents | |
