NEMO | Back in high school summer of 92 I think, picked up square bales of hay and got 5 cents a bale to load flat deck hay truck with conveyor down the middle then reverse conveyor and unload into a barn. Averaged 1500 bales a day so made $75 a day. May not of been the lowest wage (per hour) but definitely the hardest work for the least amount of pay!
In 1999 we had a drought and crops were terrible (My 3rd crop out of college). While doing my taxes that year I figured up I actually made 19 cents a day. So at least I didn't go broke that year!!! | |
