Central Illinois | Don't remember what us city kids got for detasseling but that was just part time. Also had a Paper route and about a dozen yards to mow besides home. First steady was bagging groceries at Krogers for $1.75 and part time pumping gas for $1.50. Hint, could by a gallon of gas and a spark plug and get change back from $1. Starting in the Work program Junior in High School working at local NAPA store 11:30 to 5:30 M-F and 1/2 day Saturday for $2.00. | |
