| started at $1.50 hour working at gas station when i was a junior in high school in 1970, fixing truck tires, service jobs, general light mechanical work. I loved it, got to learn how to work with the public and had to bite my lip many times. When I was kid about 12-13 years old I was helping dad and messed something up and he chewed me out a bit and I said why you got to chew on me like that, he said you'll appreciate it later in life kid, well, that came to mind many times working for the public. Best thing I ever did was getting a job for a while before I started farming, I learned to appreciate the person on the other side of the counter. | |
