SW Ohio
Do you have cable drives or chain drives on the row units? I would seriously consider upgrading to cable drives if you have chains. You can find used parts at planter.parts or contact the folks at Schlipf precision ag. The box support clutches are in high demand, and sometimes hard to come by but they are out there

How old or new your planter is will determine if the backbone harness is ready for clutches or not. Serial number 740101 and later will be clutch ready. You'll need a new seed tube harness with clutch support as well, or do like my cheap butt did and add 2 wires to the harnesses you have already. Deutsch connectors are easy to work with once you do a couple. If you need a new backbone harness that is where I might draw the line and look for a newer planter. Not to say it can't be done, but you may be able to trade for not too much money and get into a lot of technology, for less work and money than adding all of it to your current planter.
