West Union, Illinois | I had rotator cuff repair after a fall at a fire scene. I was dealing with workman’s comp so it was a bit different than yours. I was a bit less than pleased with my initial care provider, but in retrospect it may have been the workman’s comp company dragging its feet.
Both my initial care Dr and my surgeon both said (not exact quote) I’d need surgery but insurance would require physical therapy first to try and avoid it. It was a long time before an MRI was done to actually see what the injury was. I had x-rays but my understanding is they don’t show the extent like an MRI does.
I’m assuming you have insurance involved. It will drag its feet as long as possible hoping you croak first and they don’t have to pay. | |
