oregon | I have fond memories of DQ. I didn't know it, but the cutest girl in school was working there one summer, and I got up the courage to say Hi and order a banana split after practice.
One spring, I remember a huge dust storm came through and there was an 1/8" layer of dust on the dishes in the cupboards that you could easily write your name on. We drove to DQ after the storm and had dinner there. That was in 4th grade.
Just a couple of weeks ago we stopped at DQ and a college girls soccer team was there. It was refreshing to see girls acting like I remember girls acted and not buried in their cell phones. The coaches acknowledged us and apologized a couple of times for having a large group in front of us. A couple of the girls briefly engaged us in conversation.
