I see no reason grain cart tractors can’t be unmanned. They could follow behind combine, pull up to take hopper loads. Then drive only where combined to trucks. Then supervised pull up, unload, return.
All it takes is money.
Kinze has been experimenting with driverless grain carts for years already that could do what you describe. I haven’t heard anything about it lately but I assume they haven’t abandoned the idea. |
