It is wild that you posted this. I have had issues with knees and shoulders for a while and every year they get worse. It is osteoarthritis and everyone I have talked to has told me replacement is the only fix. Yesterday I had a appt with a shoulder surgeon that was set up by one of his partnering drs. 2 months ago with hopes of having it done before eoy. He spent 5 minutes with us and told me he only does non anatomically correct replacement. He recommended ac replacement as if something happened I could go non anatomically correct. He then asked if any mri or ultrasound done to determine health of rotator cuff. Nope. So I went and had that done yesterday pm. Have a appt 12/4 with surgeon that does ac shoulder replacement with very little hope of getting it done by eoy. Probably gut it out till next year, but I am very discouraged by this cluster. Everytime they all looked at xray the conclusion was replacement, never once mentioning to get mri or us. I hope you find some relief as it very miserable. From the words of a very good friend, be your own self advocate with this stuff and demand things be done instead of getting caught in the runaround.
