Alden and Osage, IA | If your elevator speed is reading erratic with the separator shut off, then that is your problem. Actually pretty common on Case combines, all the way back to 1600 series.
Most likely 1 of 3 problems.
1. Bad combine system ground--most common on older combines (1600s)
2. Bad sensor, or sensor that is loose on the shaft.
3. Bad alternator. Sounds unlikely, especially if everything seems to be working ok, but I have seen it be the culprit more than once. | |
