| I believe the field work would be fairly easy to accomplish with today’s technology, but what do they do about getting these autonomous machines from field to field? Moving large equipment down the road is by far the most stressful part of farming for me. Trying to avoid mailboxes, culverts, concrete bridges, and worst of all unpredictable stupid drivers. I f the robots can conquer that I will be thoroughly impressed. If you have to stop what you’re doing and manually move it to the next field you’re not gaining much efficiency. I’m sure it can be overcome at some point but I see that as a huge roadblock right now. | |
