typically your rear axle of the tandem drives is your primary drive axle.

The power divider is a central differential. A differential evenly divides torque. That means the torque applied by the front axle is exactly the same as the torque applied by the rear axle. Both axles do an equal amount of pulling when the PDL is unlocked/open.

The standard air ride setup has one ride height valve and all the bag's Teed together. All the bags at the same pressure means the front axle carries exactly the same weight as the rear axle.

Both axles have exactly the same torque and carry exactly the same weight. So what makes the rear a primary drive axle?

I agree! equal distribution to all drive tires.

Bought some used truck tires and the truck owner operator insisted the power goes to the front drive axle and rear drive just coasts along causing the tires to wear faster on the front drives? BS, there's a differential in between the axles to equally distribute the power to all wheels. I don't know where these truck drivers get these ideas?
