| The hitch valve on those tractors are similar to the header valves on the red combines of that same vintage, and have a similar problem. There is a poppet valve in the hitch valve that tends to leak internally. The repair kit for it is part # 87430152. It's more or less a glorified needle & seat assembly that tended to leak. Pretty easy to access and replace this valve assembly.
There is also a hitch relief valve in the hitch that could leak as well, part # 84166099. I can't say that I have ever had problems with this, but it could be a problem. | |
