| Universal Hose sold me my weatherhead. They have reconditioned and put a basic kit together. Had it about 5 yrs now
Deciding factor for me was local auto parts closed, owner retired and couldn’t sell it
Auto zone and orielly’s moved into area
BOTH had big signs they make hyd hoses
Take a hose in to get a new one made
“We can’t do that as no one is trained on how to use that unit. Leave it here and we can have a hose in a few days”
Other store was “we send out to our warehouse for hoses to be made”
Drove over to next town and missed their closing time by minutes. I called ahead and told them I was on my way but was told hurry as we won’t stay open
This was a holiday weekend (7/4) and I had 2nd cutting ready with potential rain
Called local implement dealer who opened up but it was costly
I gladly paid it as I did infringe on someone’s plans but I told myself; you always wanted/needed one but price talked yourself out of it”
Glad I have it
Split my Deere hoe last winter for fly wheeler work. Changed out all the lines while I was there
As I was doing so some hoses I thought were questionable were worse than I thought when I pulled them all they way out Probably wouldn’t have change them if I couldn’t have made them on the spot
