Problem is the natives like to throw around the “sovereign nation” thing when it’s convenient for them and we’ve been playing along for 150 years. It’s a farce. Sovereign nations aren’t whining about losing their snap payments this month.
The fact is, they live under the laws set forth by the US government, just as they have since they lost the various conflicts that we all studied in US history class. They’re still pretending they live under their own laws, and throw their weight around wherever they can. The FAA is not one of those places, but a small private plane owner…
In short, they’re out of line and showing everyone what bitter petty losers they are. If they need a $10,000 plane that bad, fine, cut off every dollar they get from the US government, close the rez borders so nobody can go to the casinos, and see how long they still want to be “sovereign.”
