Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Slugbait - 11/7/2025 08:04 It amazes me how much complaining there is about communication difficulties when we all carry a supercomputer in our pocket that has multiple ways to translate just about any language in the world to English and vice versa. I’m also applying that to the companies that hire or allow workers who don’t speak or read the language. There are apps, AI tools, even google translate. Spend an hour with a new hire and teach them how to use one. I’ve used my pathetic Spanish plus texting with an employee standing right next to me, so we can translate with our phones to convey more clearly, to convey work instructions. It’s not difficult.
Can't disagree with that, but it's hard to do that with road and traffic signs while driving. |
