Minnesota | OK, here are a few other hints, assuming you have a CIH monitor:
1. Turn off variety tracking if you are using it.
2. Always start start a new task for calibration. Then combine your cal load. Shut off the separator after it's cleared out. Then change back to a different task as soon as you combined the cal load. You can name the tasks "cal" or you can just try to remember the number.
3. I like the "advanced cal".....you can go here and select the grower, farm, field, and task that you just combined and enter the actual weight. It won't let you enter the weight if you skipped #2 above.
4. In the "data management" you can apply your new calibration values to previously combined loads.
You can have up to 10 cal loads for each crop. You don't need 10. A good calibration at low, med, and high flow should get it pretty close.
You want the crop flow as consistent as possible while you are running the calibration. You don't want to start/stop or have to turn around while you are running the cal loads. | |
