It's a pretty simple system.  Two cylinders, a hitch control valve, and the armrest board and they can all fail.  I've replaced a seal and the control valve once on my 245 and two control valves.  Those, along with the main hose off the pump, an oil pan gasket, and two water pumps are the only problems I've had with my 245.
