southeast nebraska | To get the absolute best yield. I have to run about 2.6 to 2.8 mph. Yield monitor shows up to a 30 bushel difference at 3.5mph
Rotor at 370
Fan 1050 to 1150
top sieve (long finger) 3/8 front 5/8 main section 3/4 back part
bottom shoe 1/2
24 tooth front gear on Drago 26 rear
Now the funny part, it really doesn't look like there is any corn on the ground
tried all different settings and not getting anywhere
Only thing I haven't done is changed the Drago to a 28 or higher rear. (anyone know what this should run?) ( I know they say head should run at 650, but while I ordered a hand tachometer (not sure where to measure this though) it won't be here till weekend)
at 2.6 mph I get about 191 on yield monitor, at 3.5mph I get 166 (ish)
Everybody says I should be able to run 3.5 easy
There is a kernel here and there, but on a 2.5 pass vs a 3.5 pass there really doesn't seem to be much difference, you would think 30 bushel an acre would be corn everywhere
pulling hair out here and don't know what I am doing wrong, what I should be doing different
first year on Drago and long finger sieve
