Most Americans can't read delivery instructions. The first address line on my Amazon account is "BACK DOOR ONLY!" My wife often catches the delivery at the front door and asks them if they can read. They almost always reply with perfect English saying yes. Then she tells the to read the package address. They usually come up with some stupid excuse.

Yesterday in back in the yard behind the shop I heard a lot of yelling that sounded odd. I went to see what was going on. A truck driver was screaming at 2 of our mechanics in a foreign language that I would guess was Russian. He was dressed in pajamas and flip flops. He was there to pick up a piece of equipment that was recently sold through online auction. It was a non running piece and the mechanics had used 2 service trucks to lift it while he backed under it. It looked as if he was not happy with where or how it was sitting on his trailer. A whole lot of very loud words were coming out of his mouth, but none of them were English. He was very fluent with hand gestures, especially with his middle finger. I said to the mechanics this is just what this country needs, more foreign bleep bleep bleep bleeps. He must have been able to understand what I said. He then turned his verbal barrage towards me. I replied with some hand gestures he understood and probably a few he didn't. I laughed at him as I walked back to the shop. I passed 2 managers on their way out to see what was going on. I'm curious to see if I will hear about any of this today when I get there.
