North Dakota | About 5 years ago my daughter and son-in-law ordered kitchen cabinets from a company in Minneapolis, MN. It was in January.
I got a call from my son-in-law who was at work and he said he got a call that cabinets were being delivered today but he was stuck at work. Could I go wait at house for the delivery truck.
I waited all day and finally called him and said I was going to take a drive to look for truck. Found it about 3 miles away on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere. Driver was standing in the middle of the road shivering with a look of fright on his face. Was Somali and couldn’t speak a stitch of English. Finally relayed to him via hand signals to follow me. Got him back to house and unloaded. Have no idea what would have happened if I hadn’t located him. Still wonder if he ever made it back to Minneapolis. What company would send a driver on a 1,100 mile round trip with the circumstances involved. Makes me shake my head. | |
