East Central Ia | We have run the XDC knives since they came out, I think this was our third season with them.
We really like the job they do but I have no experience with the Calmer rolls. We were going to put them on a new head until we saw the XDC setup at the farm progress show and decided to go that route.
I suspect they don’t chop quite as much as the Calmers do but I have no direct comparison. They do a fair bit of chopping/crimping but not so much the residue blows everywhere.
We have no issues picking at 6+ mph.
We have stalk stompers on every row as well and really like this setup.
