Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
EZ-Boom could replace a Raven 440/450 completely and handle rate control and section control. It was also possible to still use the 440/450 for rate control and have EZ-Boom handle just the section control.

As you mention there were some other systems that intercepted the boom sections and controlled them for auto swath while letting some other system handle the rate control. I'm not aware of any that are available just for section control only these days. Those that were did need GPS.
