I don't have an answer for the OP, but it made me think....didn't Lincoln (SKF) at one time offer an auto greaser system that used conventional tube grease cartridges? 

If so, I don't see anything like it on their website. Could be overlooking it though.

Seems it would be much simpler for systems not requiring huge amounts of daily grease.
