on both of my fd70's I started over from scratch...after a few years of tweeking this and that, i kinda found that i didn't know where i was at. There is a section in the tech manual, i think under reassembly where it gives you idea how it was set from factory. I went through that process, and tweeked it from there and they both worked flawlessly this fall, better than ever.
im not suggesting the original poster needs to do this, i just think it is a good practice to start over sometimes when things get outta whack.
