NWMO | Adding a Hillco is costly new, but buying one used seems there's not much difference... We started with Hillco on CaseIh machines 2166 & 2388 and was impressed... (Fun to lap the neighbors across the fence in steep ground) Then needed to update and no deals on Red paint at that time... So bought a 9760 hillco and it was very trouble free... Then onto a S670 hillco... And it's been good... Since Then the 2166 hillco got swaped for a high hr 9770 no Hillco... Running side beside class 7s no comparison in soybeans... Now have a second S670 no Hillco and still Hillco runs circles around it... Steep hills and terraces you will harvest as if it was flat ground... Hopper will always be full... And wear on machine is much less from running level... Equal weight on finals and tires ect ect ect... So apples to apples Hillco is simple dosen't cause much problems... Hours on machine?? That's loaded question... Have a 9770 deep in the 6000h range and will go to field and run no worries... Both S670s are getting up in the mid 3000 range... ect... Plenty of brand new ones with service truck next to or in shop... And a 2500hr one has the same problems as a 5000hr one... Really depends on previous owners... Buy cheap, rebuild yourself, and a high hour machine will run better than a abused 1200 hr one... JMO | |
