Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The valve shown in your picture is a Raven "Fast" hydraulic Servo control valve. It is NOT a PWM valve. With an Ag Leader system, either valve could be used to control the bed although the PWM style is often preferred. For automatic spinner control, Ag Leader allows a PWM style hydraulic valve only.
The reason a PWM valve is preferred with an Ag Leader setup is that the system can "remember" or be directed to open to a certain position when application resumes. The Servo style hydraulic valves do not have that capability. When application begins or resumes with a Servo style valve, the system must increase the hydraulic flow until over application occurs and then decrease the flow in an attempt to apply the correct rate.
This can result in oscillation above and below the desired rate until the system "settles" down on the correct flow. With a PWM control valve, the valve can "jump to a certain flow position" and then make minor adjustments from that point.
I have no experience with the Deere system as far as their capabilities of working with the various hydraulic control types.
