I went the other way. I used to run AirGuard seed brakes but switched to the Needham. There is no way I'd go bad to the AirGuard ones, I hate those things. The Needham brakes are much easier to live with.

If you are expecting to get better spacing from a seed brake, unfortunately I think you are going to be disappointed. I use them to keep from bouncing seed out of the trench, and I do think they help with that quite a bit.
