Sac & Story county IA | I have used aluminum foil tape on 3 sides of a motor cover to seal from weather. Amp draw is harder. I think it should take into the 30s. Well into the 30s if capacitors are healthy.
I have had the thermal overload switch in a motor get weak and trip too easy. I have wired past the thermal overload and use these to do the same job.

Especially if the motor is on a conveyor or elevator that is fed by another. If the overload trips out, no way to stop the other conveyor. With this, a person can have this open another relay to stop feeding conveyor before it makes a mess. Or on top of an elevator, reset without climbing up there. | |
