| Some clarification is needed. The "transmission" oil is behind the batteries and checked with the sight glasses. It is actually the transmission/hydraulic/power shift clutches oil compartment. You say this was 3 gallons overfull. I don't see how that would make the tractor quit moving. Your foot clutch pedal is a dry (4-button) mechanical clutch . There is no torque limiter on a maroon model 7000. The "rear end" oil is directly under the SMV sign behind that cab It provides oil for the ring and pinion gears and differential gears along with the 540/1000 RPM PTO gears. This oil level is higher than the transmission and the only way it could transfer forward to the transmission/hydraulic system would be thru the lower PTO shaft. Again, I don't see why the tractor would quit moving. Did the power steering quit working or act goofy at the same time???? Did it quit moving and is still broke?? still not moving?? that would be the foot clutch I would imagine. | |
