Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Ag Leader is very consistent about using colors and arrangement patterns. Black is used for ground and Red for Power (usually +12V). With a 2 pin connector such as the Duetsch DTP or WeatherPak style the "first" pin (#1 or A) is Power which would be Red and the "second" pin (#2 or B) is Ground which would be black.
They often use "pink" for a wire that is key switched or controlled by something else. An example is the Guidance Activation wire that is used with steering systems. In the case of the Guidance Activation it is triggered ON by a key switched source or the Guidance Activation branch on the display cable.
Within the CAN connectors four wires are involved. Red and Black for CAN Power. Green & Yellow for CAN High and CAN Low. Red and Black provide the power for the circuitry. The Green and Yellow pair are used to transmit information between the various CAN modules.
