SE MN | They take up a lot of space. The table, the access path so you can load it with a forklift, the racking for sheets if you keep stock. If you just want a little guy for hand sized stuff, you don't need all that. Langmuir is very popular with the hobby and light business youtube crowd. If he is very capable and wants to learn you can buy build it yourself kits cheap. If it may or may not get used much, a Langmuir is probably a good option, if he is serious and going to work it hard, then I would get something that you can get parts and service for locally. There are occasionally used ones on Facebook, but buyer be ware.
Also, after the first day of running you will probably decide you need a bigger air compressor if you don't have a good one and an air dryer. | |
