coast of Maine
James ,they make really nice vented propane heaters. These also can be run with out electricity. The thermostat is millivolt thermo couple driven.I have a vermont castings Radiance. It is as heavy as a wood stove.Needs a chimney.I use it as a backup in winter,no gen set needed.heat pump runs,if power goes out and temp drops below a set point the unit comes on.It is excellent as far as relaxing nearby during chilly days in spring/fall as well.I picked it up on craigslist for 800$ if I recall.Takes two guys to move.
