What is the good and bad on Sunflower 6630
And 6631
As others have said, the 6630 likes to bounce if you go too fast, but I have been able to get them to do a nice job up to 7.5-8mph depending on soil types and terrain...sometimes you just have to slow down. Dad and Uncle have on on their farm, and they run stalks in the fall with it, and have turned it into their spring finish tool by pulling an 8 bar McFarlane harrow behind it. Honestly was amazed the job it did the first time we ran that combination.
The 6631 fixed almost all of the issues I had with the 6630...the frame is heavier, the hardware is bigger, and it just was a better tool for what customers expected them to do. I have ran them up to 12mph and never found any ridging or wash boarding to speak of. I still like to run them around 8 mph or so, but you can run them faster if you aren't trying to move a lot of dirt in the spring.
