What heats the house now? Adding an emergency cord to a gas furnace would be my first choice. A ventless propane heater might be second. Sizing depends on the heat load of the house and local climate. Oregon has a large variation in climate extremes, and a 2,000sf house could be drafty as heck, or need nothing to stay warm for days.
